Mornings

Often if Cyrus wakes up before I'm up I bring him into bed with me while I read the bible. So when I get up and make the bed... he ends up getting made up in it.  He often gets a kick out of mommy trying to jump up and pull the covers up at the same time.
The other morning I woke up to hearing Cyrus talking and cooing in his room.  I went in to find him taking apart his bed and his cute little morning eyes peeking out at me.

Typical little monster

Well Troy told me the other day that he created a monster out of Cyrus.  Well to explain it before you think we're being mean,  Cyrus and Troy like playing kind of rough typical dad son stuff like wrestling and tossing him in the air.  Well in doing so he become quiet the aggressive little boy.  And now that he's starting to scoot around and soon to crawl, he's going to become quiet the Tasmanian devil.  Of course I'm exaggerating the story to make it sound better and I'm sure he's being the typical child and not a typical little monster.
So last week when i was fold the laundry... he learn that if he reached up and grabbed the top of the basket... then it tips over EXCITING right!  So I kept picking it up and he kept tipping it over.

Then he decided this twig ball on the mounted side table would be a great toy. And below is a picture of his accomplice.

Updates on our House

These are newest addition to our house. Troy built these shelves for the basement above the sink.
Our newly painted front door. We had a difficult time deciding on the color but we're happy with it now.  Also Troy and I went shopping at hobby lobby on Saturday for a wreath and decided to have a contest on who could make the best one.  I did the inside one and troy did the outside one. Which one do you like?
I don't know but it seems the front of our house looks significantly better and when we first moved in.
Troys Landscaping and mulch. This seems to be his pride and joy. haha

Our front door and Troy's wreath
Our freshly painted Garage we painted the walls and concrete painted the floor. Only one more day and I can finally drive on it.

One of our projects we have left to do.  This is our three or four season room.  We might try to turn into a screened in porch.
Our Patio, more landscaping, and our patio furniture finished last summer.  Troy got it free from and job and we sanded it down and refinished and stained it.

Coby help Troy finish this fire pit and retaining wall.  It looks GREAT and we've enjoyed it a lot already.

This is our edible area. We bought  blueberry and blackberry plants and a bean plant and we got a transplant of a rhubarb plant from Troy's mom.
Stairway down to basement. This needs some work.
Our recently finished basement.  This is a the bottom of the stairs.  Cyrus' play area and my piano I need to play more often.
The laundry room and bathroom are off the the right through a door
 The buffet area
 Living Room area
Table we got from mom and dad Steffen, Jordan and Shayla used in there kitchen, and originally was Troy's grandpa and grandma Steffen's.
I love the fireplace; it turned out soo beautiful.

Yet another project.  The laundry room and the framed part will be the bathroom.
